Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is in direct contact with AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain about a move to London, it has been revealed.
On-loan from Juventus, Higuain's struggles at Milan has seen talk raised of his deal being cut short next month.
And Sport Mediaset says Sarri is actively working behind the scenes to bring his former Napoli striker to Chelsea.
Having urged the two clubs to step up negotiations for a short-term exchange of loans, Sarri also rang Higuain last month to discuss his situation.
It's claimed the conversation took place after Higuain was sent off in the defeat to his old club Juventus, resulting in a two-match ban.
